Selene Santorini Cuvée Privée reflects our love for the authentic character of Santorini wine. It is the result of blind tastings with Master of Wine Yiannis Karakasis, curator of the Selene wine list, to choose a wine that will summarise the essence of the Santorini terroir. Minerality, high intensities and finesse.
Through the excellent work of small family producers, we chose for Selene Santorini 2022 special cuvées from Anhydrous winery. One of the island's most innovative and upcoming wineries that consistently produces some of the best Santorini wines on the market.
The grapes come from selected vineyards in Vourvoulos, Vothonas and the celebrated Megalochori village, an area that gives a particular herbal signature of green tea and sage to the wine. They have been fermented with wild yeasts to express the fruit's purity and the glorious Santorini terroir. Following fermentation, the wine matured with fine lees for six months. A wine of enjoyment, mineral signature and deep complexity emerged, a produce of 95% Assyrtiko with a splash of local aromatic Aidani.
We chose the most environmentally friendly materials for the packaging: a lightweight bottle with the lowest CO2 footprint and ecological cork. In addition, the label was designed to capture the unique morphology of Santorini and printed on FSC certification paper that ensures products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Selene Santorini Cuvée Privée is a wine that offers generous gastronomic virtues but can also be easily consumed as an aperitif.

Selene Rosé Cuvée Privée is not another rosé wine, but an expression of one of Greece's grandest indigenous varieties, perfumed Moschofilero with a splash of Agiorgitiko. It is produced by the specialists of rosé wines in Greece, Troupis Winery, and was chosen by another Master, Yiannis Karakasis, Master of Wine, curator of Selene wine-list in an exhaustive blind tasting.
Moschofilero is sourced from the highlands of the Mantinia plateau in Arcadia, at 650 m elevation. Agiorgitiko is from mountainous Corinthia, producing a delicious summer rosé in a Provence style for meze and tapas-style food such as sushi, grilled octopus, or tomato stuffed balls.

Selene Santorini Cuvée Privée TRADITION is a flashback to the past of Santorini and Selene’s tribute to the winemaking tradition of the island. Three main Santorini varieties are used, Assyrtiko (90%) and 10% Athiri and Aidani sourced from single vineyards ‘’Agios Nikitas’’ and ‘’Psisikaria’’ in Megalochori.
It is produced in the classic brousko style of Santorini with a contact of the skins with the must for a few hours. It reflects the traditional winemaking of George Venetsanos, a father figure for Santorini wine. For nine months, the wine matures partly in oak and masterfully expresses dense structure, the intense saltiness, and lovely balance. A multi-layered wine for top gastronomical experiences.
